“For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.”
~ Rudyard Kipling Jungle Book
Cole Morrison and Regina Capalini thought they were destined for each other, but destiny had other plans. In this world, nothing is as it appears on the surface, not even for Regina who, as a Wolf shifter, thought she had already seen it all.
Neither she nor Cole ever knew what real love was and once they find it, the next step is seeing if they can actually survive to enjoy it.
Thrown together in a life and death adventure, everything they ever thought they knew about themselves comes into question.
In this world, the supernatural lurks just below the surface of the mundane. Few believe in it to see the truth right in front of their eyes, and by the time they do, it’s too late.
When life is hanging in the balance, who will you trust? Where will you place your Loyalties?
What People Are Saying
“…Bonds of Blood and Spirit: Loyalties is a book of connections; family, romantic, soul, spirit, self. This is truly a work of fiction, but the delights, trials, heroics, and adventures of the characters call for the reader to take part in the journey of love and growth – of and between the players….(click here to read the full review)

“Friend of the site Deborah Dorchak and her writing partner Wendi Kelly have combined shifters and vampires into a wonderfully bloody and occasionally kinky tale of friendship, trust and cheesesteaks. It’s a page turner (even using the virtual pages on my iPad). This book definitely earns a “Hard R” rating, so don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
– John Hewitt, Poewar
“Exciting roller coaster ride-leaves you wanting more!Far more than a book about werewolves and vampires. It’s a book about true friendships, spiritual attachment, and …well…loyalty. It’s a fast paced adventure that keeps you riveted. Far more adult than the Twilight series, with characters that have colorful and vivid personalities you can visualize clearly. I could read several more installments of this series and still want more.”

“Twilight is done for now… but you can still get your Vampire and Werewolf fix here! Fast-paced and an exciting read – If you dig True Blood, you’ll love this book”

“Browsing for a new book to occupy my time, I came across this book. At first I was super skeptical. I have a teenage daughter and the last thing I was In the mood for was yet another Twilight wannabe trying to cash in on the vampire/werewolf craze. But the sample was good so I figured “why not?”. My doubts were quickly erased as I found myself really getting involved in these characters. The plot that I was SO sure would be predictable had enough twists and turns to be responsible for a late night reading till the pages went blurry. It’s so cliche but I truly could not put it down. Can’t say enough how glad I am that I took a shot on a couple of unknown authors instead of going straight for my usual suspects. Look forward to hearing more from them (did I see a second book in the series on the way? I hope so!) and picking up where this book left off.”

“When a movie plays out in my head while I am reading a book, it gets my two thumbs up. When I read the last word on the last page and I am disappointed that the book has ended, then two thumbs up. When I can’t wait to follow the next adventures of the characters, another two thumbs up. That makes it six thumbs up for Loyalties!”

“I recommend this book to those who love fiction, fantasy, romance and a great story. It takes you into the author’s world of shifters and vampires who have their share of trouble and enemies as well as friends and good times. It’s an awesome read and the story has wonderful and vibrant characters to get to know and love or even hate.
This book is the first of the Bonds of Blood & Spirit series. Don’t miss out how the story begins.”

“I love to read books. I have enjoyed books of all genres and I do shamefully judge books by their covers. The cover of “Loyalties” instantly drew my attention. This book wanted to be picked up and read. I haven’t read too many books where I fall deeply in love with every character, and this is one of them. The good and heroic ones seduced me; they made me sigh and giggle and shed some tears. Equally as important are the evil, wicked characters who were so well-written that I wanted to scream and bite my nails at the suspense. I was a trifle wary of the vampire genre since I tried and failed miserably to finish reading the first book of Twilight(I don’t understand the craze). However, the “Loyalties” plotline was highly original, had twists and turns, as well as fantastic character development. All I can say is this is a quick page-turner; however, the last chapter was the slowest read because I didn’t want it to end! I am expecting more from these two talented authors. Bring it on, from your fellow bookworm!”
